Where Can You Find Gift Cards?

Now let us look at how you can get gift cards for less. There are many ways to get gift cards at lower costs. Let me show you 3 ways.

Auctions: Go to eBay or Craigslist and you will be surprised how many people are selling off their gift cards at a discount. Perhaps they won it (or was given to) but they find no use to them. As such, they rather “cash” it out by selling it away in auctions or classifieds.

I got a real good deal of a gift card worth $50 and I spent only $30 to get it! It’s free $20 for me!

Free Gift Cards: OK, I have to admit that there is no such thing as free gift cards. However, there are companies that offer free gift cards only if you purchase something else from them. It’s actually not a bad deal if you do want to purchase a couple of things from them in order to get free gift cards.

Think of it: If I spent only $100 and I get $100 worth of gift cards, won’t be my purchase be considered “Free”?

Here are some websites that you can check out and get some “free” gift cards:

Walmart Gift Cards
Exclusive Gift Cards
Macy Gift Cards * Recommended

Ask around: Hey, don’t be shy. You can actually ask around to see if someone has gift cards that are lying around and not being used. Offer to buy from them at a lower price and you will be surprised how many of them are willing to let go at a much lower price!

Why Gift Cards?

Gift cards are getting popular and sometimes common for everyday use. So what are gift cards so popular? Let me give you a few reasons.

1) It makes a great gift
Sometime you don’t know what to give to your friends right? How about giving them just the voucher and let them buy whatever they want? While vouchers are good ideas, gift cards is a better choice because it has a “higher” perceived value.

2) Promotes spending for consumers
Merchants prefer gift cards because it will enable the consumers to buy more at their stores. You see, if you have a $50 gift cards, won’t you spend $60 (for example) so that your only outlay is $10?

However, to the merchant, it’s a total of $60 worth of sale. To sell a gift cards for $50, they get additional money in when the recipient spend additional amount at their stores. It’s a no-brainer idea for the merchants.

I can think of 2 so far. What other advantages can you think of? Send me comments and let me know!
